WEB1.0

Classifies the 1st generation of the Internet whereby websites are used to distribute information in a read-only format. User's of the internet are just the consumers of the data in a one-way communication. The web-master of a website is solely responsible for updating the content to keep visitors informed and engaged. Web pages are static and hyperlinks are used to link to other pages.

The next stage in the development of the internet which will change the way websites are created and how we interact with them. The term describes the expectations of how the internet will progress, believed to be driven by technological changes.
